The tale of two people always passing by each other.
Despite being amidst constant crises.
Heroic Knight with a joyful naive smile.
The tale of the little Princess she has protected.
Cecil then starts playing her guitar, humming the lyrics that resemble the Main Theme of the game. As the charming voice of Cecil is allegedly being heard from all over the Heavenhold, a blue Fairy shows around the chaotic state the place is currently in, and eventually leads to the passage of the top floor of Heavenhold Castle, where the Knight and the matured Princess have finally arrived.
Heavenhold Top Floor
Walking along the passage, the Princess shares with the Knight her emotions before the final decisive battle for humanity.

The short time after you came back…

It was like going 10 years into the past when we went on adventures together.

After making the promise, they encounter a room where the apparition of Queen Camilla and her "ancestor" can be seen discussing about the Knight as a child, like in past stages.

The apparition dissipates. The Knight and the Princess head towards the throne, where the Dark Magician has been nonchalantly waiting for their arrival.

Beth welcomes the two, mentioning how they're late for the "ceremony" she hosted. When the Knight questions why she sent her here, she claims to originally have had the intention to drift the Knight in one of the millions of time dimensions, yet did not expect her to end up in the very same generation and dimension.

Disagreeing to "The Savior"'s warning of minimizing contact with the Guardian, Beth accepts her destined fate to be intertwined with the Knight, and leaps into battle against her.
This relentless tie with you.

Beth is defeated by the Knight and the Princess. Surprised by the Knight's progress in just a few months, she declares that the Knight is not normal, and so the Guardian must die, even if she ends up failing herself. She undergoes transformation into her dragon form before relocating the Knight and the Princess into her own interdimensional plane.

Harbinger of downfall!
Beth is yet again held back by the two. Her dragon body collapses and is rendered immobile. However, her consciousness has not given in yet. The vein above the dragon's head bursts and Beth emerges out revealing her true form. In addition, she summons two giant puppet heads between which, she can freely transfer her consciousness.

Guardian…
I can't send you to the savior…
In the end, the duo emerge victorious in their battle for humanity, and find themselves out of the illusory plane, lying unconscious in front of the throne. The two wake up and see their companions coming to them and mentioning how the invaders they were fending off suddenly retreated after the howling uproar from the castle. The Princess declares the Dark Magician successfully overthrown from the Heavenhold. After a brief moment of celebration, the dimensional rift that first brought the Knight to the future timestream opens up in the sky to claim her back to the very timeline she came from. Now that the Knight has been freed from the binding of the timeline, she is given to make a decision— a decision that won't belie herself: whether to return to the past where little Princess has desperately been waiting for the Knight to come home, or to stay in the current timeline where the Princess has waited for the Knight for entire 10 years.
The Knight makes up her mind to return to the past. The Princess walks up to her to say that she is making the right decision. However, reflecting on her short-lived adventure with the returned Knight, she becomes unable to hold back her tears.
Knight…
…You were always there…
At the most perilous moments.
And this time, you ran through 10 years of time.
If you go back to past right now and…
If we are never to meet again…
Will I be okay by myself…?
Will I…
…one day…
…be saying with a smile on my face?
That "Knight…"
"I did well, right…?"

The Knight cheers her up by acclaiming that she is already proud of her Princess. Emotional Princess thanks the Knight with a final hug before her departure. The companions too, bid the Knight farewell along with their punchlines.

With the invasion put to an end, the sun shines over Heavenhold once again and the ambience returns to the usual sunny weather.
Other Side of the Portal
Little Princess is weeping due to bullies making fun of her. Shortly, a sudden emergence of portal startles her. Reaching it out of curiosity, she finds the Knight she has desperately been searching for. With the return of the very person she held dear, she embraces the Knight and starts sobbing.
Future Route
The Knight makes up her mind to stay in the future timeline and walks back to the Princess. Surprised Princess questions if it is really okay, since someone is going to be very sad if the Knight doesn't return. With the answer being "yes", she hugs the Knight and expresses her concealed emotions. Reflecting on how she is finally able to spend time with the Knight she had desperately waited for 10 years, she becomes unable to hold back her tears.

…Thank you…

Deep down…

Don't want to part ways with you again…
…Okay.
Let's go.
Everyone is waiting.
Before heading out, the Knight walks to the portal and sends her souvenir to the past Princess as a keepsake. She then returns to the subdued Heavenhold battlefield where the companions are waiting.
